Terms of Service
Digital cultural entertainment software — billing, auto-renewal, cancellation, and disclaimers.
1. Parties and Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the FATEON platform (fateon.net) operated by Konnect Corp. (Korean: 주식회사 코네트, Business Reg. No. 275-88-02518, 26 Hakdong-ro 101-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea; "Konnect", "we", "us").
By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Minimum age: FATEON is not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service (or the minimum age required in your country). Purchases require legal capacity (18+ or higher age of majority).
Nature of the product: FATEON is digital cultural entertainment and hobby software. We deliver AI-assisted narrative, interpretive, and educational-style content inspired by Korean Saju (Four Pillars), tarot, and related symbolic and historical frameworks for recreation, curiosity, and self-reflection. The service is not sold as a regulated professional service, not a substitute for medical, mental-health, legal, tax, or investment advice, and not a guarantee or reliable prediction of real-world events or outcomes.
2. Products and Digital Content
FATEON offers (a) a monthly Plus Subscription and (b) one-time Point Packs (in-app virtual credits) that unlock or meter software features in the product.
All products are digital and delivered instantly inside the FATEON web application. You pay for access to the app experience, generators, and AI output — not for regulated professional advice or any service that claims authority over real-world results.
Reports, “compatibility” views, tarot cards, and similar items are AI-generated edutainment / cultural text (pattern-based, symbolic, and creative). They may be wrong, incomplete, or inconsistent; treat them as stories, lenses, and games for personal interest — not facts about you or others, and not instructions for health, law, or money decisions.
3. Billing and Payment
On the FATEON Android app (Google Play package com.konnect.fateon), Plus subscriptions and Point Packs are sold through Google Play Billing. Google’s terms and refund policies apply to those in-app purchases. FATEON does not store your full payment card number.
On fateon.net (web browser), payments are processed by an independent Merchant of Record (MoR). The MoR in effect is named on the checkout page and on your payment receipt (for example Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, or another licensed processor). The MoR’s terms apply to card processing, invoicing, and applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax, etc.).
Plus Subscription is billed monthly on the same calendar date as the original sign-up. If that date does not exist in a given month (e.g., 31st), billing occurs on the last day of that month.
Point Packs are one-time charges settled at the moment of purchase.
Prices and currency are shown at checkout. Taxes are calculated and collected by the MoR as displayed before you pay.
You authorise the MoR to charge your selected payment method for the fees you confirm at checkout, subject to the MoR’s terms.
4. Auto-Renewal and Cancellation
IMPORTANT: Your Plus Subscription renews automatically each month unless cancelled before the renewal date.
How to cancel (same ease as sign-up): on Android, open Settings → Billing in the app to manage Google Play subscriptions, or use Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. On web, while signed in, open Settings → Billing at fateon.net/settings/billing to launch the MoR’s customer portal and turn off auto-renewal. You may also use the portal link in your payment receipt email from the MoR, or email info@fateon.net with subject "Cancel Subscription" and your account email.
Cancellation must be received at least 24 hours before the renewal date to take effect for that cycle.
Upon cancellation, access continues until the end of the paid period; no prorated refund is issued unless our Refund Policy applies.
We send a renewal reminder email 3 days before each charge.
5. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy (fateon.net/refund). Google Play in-app purchases follow Google Play refund policies; web MoR purchases follow our Refund Policy. Key web provisions: (a) subscription cancellation within 7 days of billing may be eligible for a full refund per policy; (b) unspent Point Packs may be refunded within 7 days of purchase where applicable.
Refund requests must be submitted to info@fateon.net with your transaction ID.
6. Points (Virtual Credits)
Points are a virtual currency valid solely for in-service use. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred, gifted, or withdrawn.
FATEON may modify point pricing or costs with 14 days notice. Existing purchased points are honoured at their original redemption rates during any transition period.
Points do not expire while your account is active.
7. Entertainment & Cultural-Content Disclaimer
All FATEON outputs — including Saju-style reports, “compatibility” text, tarot, oracle, and similar — are AI-generated software output for entertainment, culture, and hobby use. They are not a psychic or supernatural service, not a clinical or therapeutic service, and not a source of certified, verified, or legally binding information.
FATEON does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, tax, or investment advice, and does not claim that any text will come true, match reality, or replace judgment from qualified professionals. You alone are responsible for decisions in health, law, or finance.
Saju, tarot, and related material draw on historical and popular-cultural symbolism. FATEON presents them in a modern, software-mediated way for fun and interest. No warranty of accuracy is made; do not use outputs to harm, harass, or discriminate against others or yourself.
By using the service, you understand that the product category is digital content / entertainment software, consistent with the description above and on our About page.
8. Intellectual Property
All platform content, branding, designs, and AI model outputs are owned by or licensed to FATEON.
You may not reproduce, sell, or redistribute FATEON content without written permission.
User-submitted data (birth dates, photos) remains yours; you grant FATEON a licence to process it to deliver the service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FATEON total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid FATEON in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 50.
FATEON is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g., death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes not resolved by mutual agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Seoul, Republic of Korea.
EU and UK consumers retain any mandatory consumer rights under their local law that cannot be overridden by choice-of-law clauses.
11. Account deletion
You may delete your FATEON account at any time from My Page → Delete account while signed in, or by emailing info@fateon.net from your registered email.
Deletion permanently removes your auth account and associated app data from our database (profile, readings, oracle inquiries, points, push tokens, etc.), subject to billing records retained by the payment Merchant of Record as required by law.
Deletion cannot be undone. Cancel any active Plus subscription through the billing portal before or after deletion to avoid future charges.
12. Changes to Terms
FATEON may update these Terms with 14 days notice by email or an in-app banner.
Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
