Is Saju “real” in a scientific sense?

Saju is real as a calendar system and cultural technology: given birth time, stems and branches are assigned by rules hundreds of years old. It is not a substitute for genetics, medicine, or economics. Personality lines in any app — including ours — are interpretive: useful if they spark insight, ignorable if they do not.

Then why does it feel so accurate?

Good interpretations mix barnum statements (true for many people), cold reading structure (balanced praise + growth edge), and your actual inputs (birth order, gendered social pressures, age cohort). The calendar gives specificity; language gives resonance. Check whether the advice still helps if you mentally swap another person’s chart — that is a quick BS filter.

How is this different from Western astrology?

Tropical astrology maps planets to zodiac signs; Saju maps sexagenary pairs to year/month/day/hour. No shared planets — sometimes similar psychological goals (timing, compatibility) with different symbolic engines. You can enjoy both as metaphor libraries without asserting one sky model.

Does FATEON claim Korean spirits affect my reading?

No. We use folklore and ritual tone and imagery where it helps storytelling. Backend logic for Saju is computational; Tarot and Oracle flows are generative text + user choice, not channeling.

What if my birth time is unknown?

Hour pillar quality drops without a reliable time; some readers estimate from life events (not ideal). FATEON will still compute three pillars where possible and flag uncertainty. For major decisions, prefer documents (hospital records) over guesswork.

Is “bad luck year” scientific?

“Luck” here means symbolic pressure between your chart and the revolving calendar — think “hard mode season” in a game, not a curse. Stressful years happen for everyone; Saju gives a named frame that some people find motivating. Treat it as planning language, not destiny law.

How should I use Tarot / Oracle alongside Saju?

Use Saju for slow patterns (identity, long cycles) and Tarot/Oracle for near-term reflection (questions of the week). Cross-check: if two systems contradict wildly, that is your signal to trust your own data and ethics over any app.

What we optimize for

  • Transparency — where a claim comes from (calendar vs. prose).
  • Agency — language that preserves choice, not fatalism.
  • Cultural respect — Korean sources named honestly, not as exotic wallpaper.
